The Elata Hybrid Systems are designed for clients at moderate to high pressure risk who require more than foam support. They combine foam stability with responsive air technology, offering enhanced pressure redistribution without stepping fully into advanced alternating air systems.
E400 is a flexible hybrid system designed to bridge the gap between clinical foam and full alternating air. It combines a stable foam base with air support, allowing clinicians to activate dynamic therapy when required by pairing it with the compatible pump EP10AU. This means E400 can function as a high-performance static surface by itself and step up to alternating therapy as patient risk increases.
E500, by contrast, features integrated alternating air cells beneath a foam comfort layer as a standard configuration. Dynamic pressure redistribution is built in, delivering higher-level therapy and enhanced comfort for more complex or high-risk care needs without requiring additional activation.
Hybrid systems are ideal when comfort and ease of use are priorities but greater pressure protection is required. They provide advanced support without the full immersion of dedicated alternating air systems and are well suited for clients who retain some independent in-bed mobility or require easier transfers.
