Dr Dinesh Palipana OAM is a senior resident doctor at Gold Coast University Hospital. Despite facing numerous barriers, he became the first quadriplegic medical graduate and medical intern in Queensland. He was recently admitted as a lawyer.
Dinesh has also contributed significantly to scientific advances in treating spinal cord injury and restoring function to people with paralysis. His national and global impact has been recognised with numerous awards, including Junior Doctor of the Year and the Order of Australia.
Registered Nurse, Pressure Injury Prevention Educator and Guideline Author
Tracy is a Registered Nurse with over 40 years’ healthcare experience. She has spent 25 years specialising in equipment management, pressure injury prevention and bariatric care.
Tracy is a steering committee member for the Pan Pacific Pressure Injury Guidelines, and has contributed to four editions of the International Pressure Injury Guidelines. She brings clinical evidence to life through powerful real-world insights into the impact of pressure injuries on quality of life.
Wound Specialist, Educator and Virtual Wound Clinic Innovator
Dr Michelle Gibb is a Nurse Practitioner and Founder of Wound Specialist Services, with over 20 years’ experience in wound and pressure injury management across acute, community and aged care settings.
A nationally and internationally recognised wound expert, Michelle was awarded a Churchill Fellowship in 2010. She contributes to pressure injury guidance through the Australian Pressure Injury Treatment Advisory (PITA) Group and has pioneered Virtual Wound Clinic models to improve access to specialist care.
OT Educator and Founder of Your OT Tutor
With over 17 years’ experience as an Occupational Therapist, Clare brings extensive clinical and education experience across assistive technology prescription, functional capacity assessment and clinical reasoning. Her practical approach helps clinicians navigate complex decisions with greater clarity and confidence.
A finalist for Occupational Therapist of the Year 2024, Clare also received the inaugural People’s Choice Award for best oral presentation at the 2025 Occupational Therapy Australia National Conference. She has also been named a 2026 finalist for Allied Health Educator Excellence at the Allied Health Awards. Her experience in assessment and prescription brings a valuable OT perspective to pressure care, with a strong focus on sound clinical reasoning and better client outcomes.

With over 30 years’ experience as an Occupational Therapist, Belinda brings deep expertise across physical and neurological rehabilitation, injury prevention, risk assessment and manual task safety. Her career spans vocational rehabilitation, medico-legal practice, clinical education and industry-based training.
With qualifications in Occupational Therapy and Occupational Health and Safety Management, Belinda has a strong focus on evidence-based assessment and sustainable outcomes. Her experience in risk management, safe movement and injury prevention brings an important rehabilitation perspective to pressure care and supporting better client outcomes.

Chanelle Olivier is an Occupational Therapist and Clinical Educator at Enable Lifecare, specialising in assistive technology assessment, prescription and pressure care. Drawing on clinical experience across Australia and South Africa, she delivers evidence-based education that turns complex concepts into practical clinical application. Passionate about pressure injury prevention, Chanelle also contributes to innovative resources and digital tools that support stronger assessment and clinical reasoning.
