It’s ideal for ambulant, semi-ambulant, and non-ambulant users who may be at risk of pressure injuries or have conditions such as kyphosis, neurological disorders, or oedema. The electric rise function assists safe standing and transfers.

2. What sizes, finishes, and weight capacities are available in Configura Chairs?

Configura Recliners are available in Small (130kg SWL), Medium (160kg SWL), and Large (160kg SWL), with seat widths from 457mm to 559mm. Choose from vinyl, Black Edition vinyl, or fabric finishes to suit style and cleaning needs. For higher weight capacity, the range also includes Bariatric Configura chairs with safe working loads of 254kg and 317kg, offering seat widths from 24"–28"" and 30"–34".

3. How can the Configura Lift Chair be adjusted for a custom fit?

The Configura chair features integrated depth adjustment, adjustable seat height and width, interchangeable backrests, optional lateral supports, and tilt-in-space with reduced-shear recline for posture support and comfort. It also offers adjustable rise angles to suit different transfer methods, including assisted stand, side transfers, and hoist transfers. In addition, it can be configured for compatibility with some sit-to-stand transfer aids.

Pressure management options include visco foam bases, alternating air cushions, and an integrated self-supply overlay for existing cushions. These features work with tilt-in-space to help redistribute pressure and reduce skin breakdown risk.

The Configura recliner chair needs 457–483mm clearance from walls for full recline, measures 940mm upright and 1702mm reclined, and has a 60kg legrest capacity. Vinyl models can be wiped with hospital-grade disinfectant; fabric models should be vacuumed and spot-cleaned.
